Ahhh summer . . .

So, today was supposed to be a hair day.  However, the kids' hair did not get washed and twisted.  In fact it probably got exponentially more dirty.  Our afternoon was filled with goop and slime and muck.  Thank goodness for summer vacation.


We also made some crayon rocks. Very fun. Go here for the recipe.  Even Collin, who is generally not too into the arty crafty stuff loved it.  I shouldn't say he isn't into arty crafty.  He isn't into finished products.  If there is paint, he'll mix it.  If there is paper, he'll cut it.  But, he's very proud of his finished rocks.

Have I mentioned that I love summer?  Collin and Cayla are already happy as clams.  And, Cayla is back to her experimenting ways that took a vacation for most of the school year.
