We're back in Boston!!!!

I apologize for the 4 months of silence. My lame excuse involves knee surgery and no internet at home. Flannery's not so lame excuse is that she was working 2 jobs and holding the house together while I sat on the couch nursing my knee and complaining about not having internet. I won't attempt to feed you an essay on everything we did this summer. If I ever get our summer photos organized I can give you a quick recap - expect that in mid-November - onto the present.

Our ascent into Boston has been about as smooth as chunky peanut butter. The twins are taking the move hard and the only thing holding them together is gum. I mean it. They have chewed (and swallowed) a lot of gum in the past week and they love it. Aside from Cayla forgetting to spit it out while eating an apple and me having no idea that "mint mojito" may not be the best choice for 4-year-olds (I'm not up on my "new hot drinks"), gum has been our favorite past time around here.

We are in an apartment this year and we all love it. The twins, who have never lived in a completely carpeted area, see it as one really big tumbling mat. Soon, we will move all our stuff out of storage to cut off their tumbling paths. In fact I'm surprised the people below us haven't complained yet. Why is most of our stuff still in storage? Well, the only hang-up is that "they" forgot to put in new carpet, so we are going to have to move all our stuff out in about a week for them to carpet the place. And the super and a random real estate agent both tried to let themselves into our apartment today because we're not really supposed to be here. But we are here and this paragraph isn't funny yet, but it will be next week, so stay tuned.

Oh, and according to Collin we live in a "repartment" and Cayla insists this a "Boston Hotel". Collin doesn't mind us using the term "apartment", but Cayla have been fighting us tooth and nail. And really, what is the difference between an apartment and a hotel to a kid who has no concept of time?
