Apples lead to further kitchen inadequacy

We went apple picking with Carrie, Grant, and Sophie. Other than Cayla getting urine all over her pants while squatting to pee on the edge of the orchard, it was a fabulous time. Much to Flannery's dismay the orchard did not sell donuts, but they had AWESOME apple crisp for $3/bowl. It's quite a feeding frenzy when four of us try to share a bowl of stuff.

So we got home and in the process of cooking up our apples realized that we really could have used the food processor and the food mill. I SWEAR we brought those 2 things. And without the food processor, the pastry cutter would have been handy. However, we made it through and this morning are feasting upon two types of applesauce (apples cut and stirred by C & C), apple bread, a apple pie/tart thing, and apple cobbler. Yum!!!!!!!

Photos taken by Carrie. Thanks!

Imagine the apple dishes you could create with the rice cooker...
