Observations 48 Hours In

There are a lot of McDonald’s between our house and everywhere.

We’ve run to the store more times in the past 48 hours than in the last 48 days.  Every errand turns into 6.

So, so, so glad that this journey took close to 3 years.  10-year old siblings are the best!

The moments of calm do not outnumber the moments of chaos, but they ARE present and so very sweet.

Good sleepers.  Nuf said.

Those past situations like coaching Cayla’s soccer games and washing her hair has become coveted bits of lovely time.

The more a 3-year-old needs sleep the more they resist it.

Until I remembered about rocking.  What is it about rocking?

We may soon start watching a lot of videos.

We’ve got toy kids nowJ

One must learn how to go down a slide.

We’ve become a laundry everyday family.

Kids are so resilient it isn’t funny.

Kids are so stinking cute.

And loveable.

And smart.

And, empathic and flexible and mature beyond our wildest dreams.
