Advent - pt II
So, I guess this year it's going to be a weekly update:) Hopefully I can remember all that has transpired in the past week!
Dec 13 - $2 to buy a treat at the snackbar at Collin's hockey game tonight (yes, lame)
Dec 14 - breakfast at S*E*L*M*A cafe with our friend, K (you can actually see us in the last photo in the back table)
Dec 15 - cut down a christmas tree!
Dec 16 - Erica's family Christmas party and pizza for dinner (+ sitting in the scorekeepers box for Flannery's hockey game which totally trumped the first two)
Dec 17 - A visit to the A's house (The kids played their heart out, Flannery got her hair cut, we ate DELICIOUS matzoh ball soup, and I got my chatting on! All this on a school/reading tutor night - yes we are still paying for it.)
Dec 18 - Shopping with Queso for Mama's birthday (They did good!!!!! Tons of soap and candles - my favorites!)
Dec 19 - Cooking a yummy dinner for Mama's 40th birthday!
Collin wanted to make me sushi for my birthday - not the usually accompaniment for platski, but so delicious. He piled it high with kimchi and a fried egg!
Cayla's sushi balls - heavy on the furikake:)
Sour cream is the traditional platski topping, but Collin is a child of the fusion era. Poland meets Japan!
Cayla's contribution to the meal was homemade ice cream. She made vanilla and added my favorite cookie of all time - Candy Cane Joe-Joes. And, of course no Cayla desert is complete without hot fudge.
