Handedness and Hockey
Once I'm off my rhythm, I'm off my rhythm. Sorry. Here are 2 unrelated stories for you.
Handedness
Cayla is definitely left-handed. She has always heald everything (spoon, pencil, scissors. . . ) in her left hand. Collin, however, seems to use his right and left hand equally. And tonight, he really blazed a path toward ambidextrousness. He was drawing a person, complete with eyes, mouth, and unibrow. When it came time for the ears, he carefully drew the right ear with his right hand. And without missing a beat, he switched the pencil to his left hand to draw the left ear. Very impressive, we thought!
Hockey
While all the kids back home are honing their hockey and broomball skills on frozen ponds, we have turned our house into our own personal hockey rink. For the past week now, there has been a lot of action complete with hockey sticks (drum sticks), shin pads (noodle boxes), and goalie gloves (valentine candy boxes). Who needs ice?!?!?!
