Bling Bling

So, I should have know from the elaborate Halloween decorations in our neighborhood that the worst was yet to come. However, I am floored by the amount of "Outdoor Christmas Bling Bling" surrounding us. And the twins absolutely love it! It's amazing how many lights, blow-up Santas, and running reindeer can be squeezed into a postage stamp sized yard. We walked by a house last night that contained 6 nodding reindeer (the ones that are metal skeletons covered in lights), 2 cone Christmas trees (same skeleton/light thing), and a waving Santa. How can I be sure of the numbers? Oh, because we stood in front of this particular front yard for a good 5-minutes while Cayla and Collin screamed in delight. However, we discovered their new, favorite display this morning on the the way home from the train. It's an 8-foot, blow up, merry-go-round, in which Santa, a snowman, a frog, and penguin rotate (yes, "rotate", as in continually move) behind a clear plastic bubble. It's a good thing this monstrosity was contained behind a fence. The twins were so excited that Cayla jumped out of one of her shoes.
