Donuts at Washtenaw
Dairy for breakfast

We decided to do this today because it's the only day that the twins don't have a commitment before school. Yes, you read that right, before school. They have been in the school drama club for a few years now that meets before school. Cayla decided that she didn't want to be in the older kid group and Collin decided he did, so that's two different mornings a week. And, they both decided to sing in the school holiday choir with their fabulous music teacher. So, that's 3 days a week that we need to leave the house at 7:45 (!!!!). And, they are both doing some early morning Bal-A-Vis-X with the school OT, 2 days a week, before school; awesome program by the way. The OT told me she scheduled it before school because she didn't want it to take away from academic time. I would argue that every child in the school should be doing this program during the school day to enhance their already-too-long academic time. But, let's get back to the donuts before I even step on my soapbox. They were delicious. Flannery had hers plain. Cayla and I had ours slathered in shredded coconut. And, Collin and our friend L, chose ones of the sprinkle variety. Although I like donuts as much as the next person I rarely actually eat one this early in the morning. And, let me tell you, that may be a huge mistake. Those freshly made donuts were warm, light, crispy, delicious bits of heaven - a perfect way to start a Monday morning.

Photos may follow at some point. We forgot the camera, but Flannery remembered that my phone probably had a camera. It did and photos were taken. I have no clue how to actually get them off the phone. I'm sending them to our friend, Anca, who hopefully can make them materialize here for you:)

Thanks, Anca!
