We went to Art Fair today and it.was.soooooooo.hot!!!!!! We haven't had many hot days this summer, which means we haven't swum much. This if unfortunate, since we love to swim. We have gone a few times, but the kids turn into shivering icicles at some point and he head home. Today would have been a great day to swim, but no, we were steaming away on the shadeless sidewalks. The bubble tea did help. And we did find some fun stuff under a tent. This joint creation by Cayla and Julia will be going for $365 at next year's fair.

OK, enough on art fair. I'm avoiding writing about kindergarten - or more specifically, the school Collin and Cayla are attending next year. Yesterday was rough. Cayla, who has had a wonderful summer, had a rough, rough day yesterday. Lots of anger was flowing out of her little body. And man, is she getting strong. It didn't help that Collin was on overdrive all day - presumably due to the fact that he was going to meet his kindergarten class and teacher at the school playground later that night. Which of course, is why Cayla was acting up. They are in separate classes next year and HER class has no summer playground meetings planned. Anyway, the meeting. Well, apparently this is going to be a teaser post. I've just typed and erased for 10 minutes. I shall collect my thoughts and get back to you . . . .
