Although moving makes for good fodder, I’ve historically been a poor blogger during preparations for our cross-country treks. And, this one looks to be no different. However, you’ll be happy to know that the stove is now clean. And thank goodness for Craig’s list. Our days have consisted of . . .

  • Flannery sorting, packing, donating, and throwing away our stuff.

  • Me sneaking stuff out of the throw-away piles (don’t worry, Joe - my Fresh’n’Fancy lipstick brush is safe) and ripping apart boxes to dig out stuff that was “packed too early”. Today it was the food processor and Hydrocortisone cream.

  • Cayla having constant fits, temper tantrums, and break-downs.

  • Collin sprinting around the house playing soccer and hockey with any object he can find and demanding our attendance at dance recitals in his bedroom. Today’s dance recital was set to music from the Lion King (big surprise there) and consisted of him jumping as high as he could on his bed and landing on his face. Perhaps WWF would be a more appropriate event title.

We did have a nice moving respite as my brother and parents flew in for a quick visit. We hit the museums, performed a Chinese Opera, celebrated my Dad’s birthday, and wandered all over the place.

So, I’m going to sign off for the next few weeks while we move. And, besides I don’t what to contribute to any procrastination on Rachel’s part while she works on her boards which began today. Good Luck!
